Traffic Fine Roadshow drives to Parow

The popular traffic fine roadshow will be visiting Parow from the 14 to 19 March 2025 to afford motorists another opportunity to pay outstanding fines and settle warrants.

The City of Cape Town’s Traffic Service, in collaboration with Municipal Courts, Revenue Services, and other key departments, will host its annual public roadshow at the Parow Civic Centre, corner of Voortrekker and Talent Streets, Parow.

The previous roadshow in December last year assisted more than  3 000 persons who made representations on 34 509 outstanding fines and warrants. The monetary value of the fines and warrants paid amounted to nearly R7 million.

The following operating days and hours will apply;

This initiative provides residents and City staff with an opportunity to resolve outstanding fines, summonses, warrants, as well as inquire about municipal accounts. The following services will be available:

• All fine-related enquiries for vehicles registered in your name
• Apply for reductions on traffic fines issued within the City of Cape Town's municipal boundaries
• Pay or finalise outstanding fines
• Inquire about warrants or summonses issued in your name and settle them
• Remove administration marks from your name in the Natis system, enabling you to renew your vehicle licence or complete other Natis transactions
• Municipal account inquiries. We offer various benefits that the client can apply for viz: Indigent and Pensioner Rebates Benefits. The clients can also make payment arrangements if they have arrears on their respective municipal accounts. The client must have copies of their IDs, drivers licence, proof of income, affidavits if they don't have bank accounts and consent letters if they are not the owners of the property they are residing at.
  
  Please note that redirections of traffic fines, no admission of guilt fines (NAG fines) and reducing a fine that has already been reduced will not be entertained at the Roadshow.
  
  In addition, contempt of court amounts (Warrant amount of R300/R600) cannot be reduced by a prosecutor.
  
  If you have a traffic matter and are unable to attend in person, you may send a representative on your behalf. The representative will need to present the following documents:

• Their own Identity Document (ID)
• A copy of the ID of the person they are representing
• An affidavit granting them permission to act on the individual's behalf
  
  The City would like to encourage all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to resolve any outstanding matters with the City of Cape Town.
  
  'This is another opportunity for motorists and vehicle owners to check if they have any outstanding warrants or fines. Our traffic fine roadshows are not only an opportunity to pay fines, but also to increase awareness on road and traffic safety and to remind motorists to drive responsibly and to adhere to road and traffic safety regulations. Motorists are invited to visit the roadshow ahead of the long weekend and ensure that there are no outstanding fines or warrants on their name,' said Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman Smith.
